We might be freezing here in Nashua, but for Porsche AG, things are just heating up. Here are a few highlights from the brand’s news coverage in recent weeks to hold you over ’til you can visit Porsche Nashua for a test drive of a new Porsche car or SUV (or ’til you thaw out enough to feel your toes).
Porsche 911 RSR Wins at Sebring
As it starts its second year in competition, the Porsche 911 RSR is putting its competitors on notice. Another brand has had the 12 Hours of Sebring on lock for the last three years, but their streak was decisively ended as two Porsche 911 RSR cars took the first and third spots on the podium.
Their victory — hopefully the first of many this season — was especially impressive considering the other makes and models in competition. What’s more, the winning Porsche car started far in the back of the pack in the second-to-last position, making the eventual victory that much sweeter.
Porsche 911 is DNA Award Winner
The New York Daily News gave the 2018 Porsche 911 its DNA Award for Best Performance Luxury Car. They had particular praise for the brand’s stubborn adherence to quality and old-fashioned driving thrills in the face of a changing industry, but went on to note that some advancements (especially the Porsche PDK dual-clutch transmission) proved that the company could evolve without sacrificing the feel for which their cars are justifiably famous.
Porsche Mission E… VR?
If you want to build anticipation for a car that’s never seen the inside of a Porsche dealership, you’ve got your work cut out for you. The Drive reports that Porsche AG developed a workaround with an assist from Google, designing a virtual/augmented reality app that allows you not only to see the inside of the Porsche Mission E, but also to visualize it — to scale — in any number of places, like your garage or the Porsche Nashua parking lot.
If you’d rather see the new Porsche cars at your Porsche dealership near Manchester than read about them, we don’t blame you. Visit Porsche Nashua at 170 Main Dunstable Road today!
